What lens for silverstone

might be going to silverstone to see the gt's and F3 on the 17th not sure where the tickets are for sooo what would be a decent focal length for taking them from pretty much anywhere ?

  1.8 Civic EX
loooooong silverstone ain't great for pics tbh...i did rather well with a 70-300 last time i went, was just about right..

  Fiat Coupe 20vt
Bar the first handful of shots on the Friday which were taken at Luffield using a 75-300 lense, I took the rest of the circuit shots at the Silverstone Classic in these threads;

using a 70-200 lense. 100-400 would be ideal if you could get your hands on one though, that seemed to be what a lot of other people were using. Most of the shots were taken between Club and Abbey, with a few at the end of Sunday taken between Bridge and Priory.

  106 GTi
Depends where you stand, 300 mm plus for is needed parts, I found my 300mm plus 1.4 to short at times. There was a good thread on here a while ago containing some pics take with only a 70-200.

  Oil Burner
Had my 100-300 and it was useless, using a 1.4tc it was better, but to be honest not enough for what i would class as decent shots. Probably the worst track to shoot ive ever been to, glad i didnt bother getting a media pass.
