What made you choose a Clio sport

Just the most fun car for the cash. Wanted a 197 really, but couldn't afford it so I had a go in a 182 and was amazed how much more manic it was. I was hooked.

I used to have a 2.0l Golf and I loved it but it was just too slow. I was looking at getting a 1.8t + remap etc but for the same price I realised I could get a 172 with half the milage, better spec and faster standard.

More bang for bucks I guess. Happy with the decision

Plus it amuses me how other cars in the road (around here at least) seem to think the car is slow

Im looking @ buying a 172 Cup,

seems like the "newer version" of my Saxo VTS...

very similar car..
just slightly better looks,
newer number plate,
less miles.
Slightly quicker too.

a mate of mine come's or used to come on here (samboRT i think thats it) n as ive now bought a clio thought it would be a good chance to meet a few people that own clio's and a chance to get away from chav's!

Didnt like the Fiesta ST or the Cooper 'S' as much to drive (althought the Cooper s was better specced and better built) they just dont feel as good.

Cant have a Lotus yet beacause I play in a rock band and cant affford two cars.

and love the subtlety about the 172 - when its dirty it looks like any other clio in the range - when its clean it comes alive :approve:

When I finish paying for the clio (about Septmenber) it will be replaced with an Elise and a Van for gigging:approve:

Cos they are quick little suckers and you won't really get anything better for the dosh - i'm on my second sport now
