what mk do i have?????

hi all ,

I am having a spot of bother trying to decide what mk clio i have and was wondering if anyone can help.

my car is
1998 R reg clio 1.4rt
registered 02.01.1998
does NOT have the normal rectangle front lights but have a more upswept tyre...hard to explain...sorry.

is this a mk1 or mk 2?

the mk 1 phase 1&2 had square'r headlights, the mk 1 phase 3 had rounder ones and a break light under the rear window on the boot

No, most parts will fit, appart from the headlights due to the bonnet shape.

Boot lid is different with the brake light in the middle. Phase 3 also have different bumpers with the grill being inbuilt rather than screwed on, like phase 1 and 2.

so the only diffrence is the lights, bumpers, grill and boot door???? not much then?

is the exgaust system the same too?
