What mods have people done to their car’s





When I bought my Clio I had every intention of keeping it standard :)

BUT it all started with just the one some clear side repeaters.... then a ClioSport sticker ...then came the alloys, and now Ive just ordered some Lexus rear lights and some silvervision bulbs.....And Im starting to lust after lowering it and getting a meaty exhaust..........WILL IT EVER END!!!!! :confused:

What has every one else done to their cars?? Did you intend to mod them from the start or have you been seduced like me?? :D

Dont no paddy i fitted the lowering springs 1st then fitted the wheels so i didnt see what it looked like, ask geordie paul he has got 17s aswell on standard springs
 


Go for 17s over the 16s and lower it 40mm as well, so youve got a taste for modding since fitting the Cup front spliter ;) and clear indicators, each to their own though paddy you go for performace were i go for looks.

Lookin at all these posts, alot of peeps have their bumper trims colour coded. I spoke to some guy at renault bodyshop, he said they tried it once for some guy and it was a bit sh*tty. Wheres a decent place to have them done in the south east, and what do they do, rub em down?

Brand new Dynamique 1.4 16V btw.

VivJ, I think a lot of people buy their car with little intention of modifying it. But like you say, you start off buying something relatively cheap, then as soon as you do that, you start to find other things on the car that could be improved, next thing you know youve spent well into 4 figures!

And no, it wont end! Not until you sell the car and get another one. Then the process starts over again...

ive had all my car colour coded! it does look a hundred times better! it cost me £280 but he also took the bar out the front bumper! sprayed handles base plates for mirrors! base plate for spoiler! etc! im really impressed how hes taken off the bar in the front! you cant tell at all!

the front and back bumpers look smart but the door handles, wingmirrors and side bumper strips look a little too light! but they still look better than black!! my cars a met silver 2002 clio and he said it was a real b*****d to match the paint!

but now that ive had it done it looks really smart!

and will really make my 17INCH BLACK PRO COMP 1 ALLOYS LOOK SEXUAL WHICH ARE COMING IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!! but im not at all excited!!

Clear side repeater,s with silver bulbs

Pipercross air filter

Powerflow twin 4" cat back exhaust

Pioneer mp8400 head unit, Sony amp, Sony 12" Sub

K-TEC kevlar brake pads front and back

Silver wiper blades(bought in a moment of madness)

Cliosport sticker proudly displayed

Oh and last but not least a magic tree smelly dangling from the rearview mirror
 


ive fitted a chrome tailpipe to mine with some washer jets that light up at night time + some green bulbs and a dog that nods its head on my back shelf.

2.0 engine from 48k willy 1

KTEC s/s exhaust waitin for a decat to suit the engine

Cobra race seats and Sabelt harnesses

rear seats and shelf removed

stereo, wiring and speakers all removed

petrol tanks, fuel lines, pump filter etc all removed

all inner arch liners removed

all heatshields removed except engine and silencer

charcoal filter and plumbing removed, inlet manifold sealed to suit

lowered 35mm,

Goodridge braided hoses all round

Alloy boot mounted rally petrol tank, with motorsport injection pump and fuel filter

Alloy petrol swirl pot, with dedicated pump

re-routed fuel line through inside of car

rear carpet retrimmed to suit tank

wheels removed (phase 2s) replaced with phase 1 lightweight items (shot blastes and painted white)

phase 2 clocks (gotta dig them white needles)

new rad

new d/shafts

new lower wishbones,

new anti roll bushes,

new strut top bushes and bearings

new rear shock absorbers,

They arrived in the post today...yepeee!!! along with a free pack of blue vision side lights....anyone got these??

Was easy in my Cup but think you have a bit more stuff in the way on the 172, if youve got skinny hands youll be ok.
