Bit of a can of worms this one bud brand wise however the accepted viscosity is 5w 40 fully synthetic.
At present I have gulf competition racing fully synth in mine as it was a good deal at the time from opie oils.
As for where to buy from I bought my previous oils and filters from euro car parts (free shipping is a bonus) , they do a Bosch oil filter which although isn't OE is a quality part so I am happy with that. As for oil I will get it from the best deal at the time

i use Mobil 1 0W-30, I'm not sure what that means but doesn't seem to have any problems, its gets changed every 6 months anyway.

This, been using it for years and I really like it.
This. I've actually just bought a 5L tub, ready to service the Ph1.
Moibl 5w-40 for me. Was a litre bottle in the boot of the car when i got it. Used it since with no problems

Had a look in the garage and turns out it was actually 5W40, what would it do if thee oil is to thin? How would it affect the car?

Not meaning to sound snotty or anything,
but the search bar at the top is an invaluable source of info,
before I post questions I always do a search first because it's more than likely been covered before.
It just saves waiting for a reply, which will more than likely be 'do a search mate'.

A couple of my mates do track days as so do i , i have always used recomended 5w 40 but they use 10w 40 is this adviseable i do drive it hard and on track days even harder the k tec induction and r.s mainofolds convince me into giving it the loud peddle pmsl
