Lots of different advice on this.. can. worms. of. :)

Many say Silkolene 5w40..

I use Motul 300v 15w50 myself.

Elf Excellium 5w40 from the dealer (got mine for about £23 for 5 litres) is pretty good I've found.

Alternatively, Silkolene Pro S(?) is a 'proper' synthetic and is supposed to be better but is a little more unless you get about 24 litres bulk buy.. lol

edit: I would have thought that 15w50 was a bit thick for winter myself, but I guess it is getting warmer now. (allegedly! lol)

Well, looking at my Williams manual, if I'm reading it right, it says 15w40-15w50 from -15c up...

I know lots of people say 5w40 tho.. and Silkolene Pro S is a good choice.

I would say ask Renault what to put in.. ;) But, I dunno.. hehe.

There's a thread on WilliamsClio at the moment.. where people are saying what they use and what they recommend - quite good!
Check it out.

dont put 15W-50 in it, unless its heavily worn, and dont ask Renault either, most of the time they dont know what day it is

It's no can of worms, in fact it's straightforward 5w-40

Choose quality to suit mods, use and budget

Cheers
Simon
