What should i expect?

Car  BMW 330D
Im looking at getting a clio 182 in december when i can insure one cheap enough to afford. I have wanted one for ages so now its only a few months off i am looking everyday on here, autotrader and PH to get an idea but the prices vary. I have 4 to 4 and half grand to spend and I want a racing blue 182 with both cup packs no more than 55k fsh and not many onwers. Is this practical ?

Best bet is to keep saving until your wanting to buy one.

No point looking at prices of them now when your not going to buy one for another 4 months matey.

the more specific you are the longer and harder you'll look! you need to go out when you have the money and see what pops up at the time.... thats what i done and ended up with lovely little odessey blue ph 1.

i personaly wouldnt bother with the cup suspention if your going to change to coilovers because it realy limits what choice you have and most you can get are around 1k. if your not going to go for it because the handling is superb.

You just described my car.

Sorry though, it is'nt for sale:(

Let me know if you need some christmas spends in December lol

I can't see prices changing much in the next four months and i don't want to spend anymore than 4 and half on a 7 year old clio, if i spent anymore i would be tempted by a megane

Have you got the money now for it?

If so look for one.

But if you find one now that fits your description, if you haven't got the money for it, what was the point in looking?

Yeah i could go and buy one now but i wouldnt be able to insure it till december, im putting my details into confused like they will be then and one firm is coming back much cheaper than the rest so im relying on them staying the same but they have been hovering around the same price for a few months now. To be honest though i just want to get an idea of whether im being realistic with what i want for my money and also whats minmum mileage you should steer clear of?

Mileage isn't that much of an issue as long as it has been serviced correctly etc.

Best thing to do is to have a look on Pistonheads etc and see what you can find.
