Heeeey peeps. So, I want to get the flamer slightly lower. No more than 40mm.

Now, has anyone got measurements of a standard 172 lowered on 40mm. (front bumper clearance with fabia splitter if poss?)

I had the 1.2 on 40mm apex, but she was on 15" alloys if that makes any difference?!

I just don't want her to scrape.

What springs are good?

cheers

If you want a 40mm drop you will have to go with apex springs.

But I wouldnt recomend it, the ride is horrible. Eibach Sportlines will give you around 25-30mm but much better performance.

Sportlines, ride will be still be ok and not rock hard like other springs.

Pm Danny@519automotive he deals with Pi springs iirc, and they are progressively wound like sportlines so you keep the comfort, think they drop 35mm!

Any lower and the ride gets harsh unless you fork out for some decent coilovers.:D

These seem a viable alternative. Seem to lower slightly more than sportlines too.
I did put up a Pi Springs thread in the clio media section.

anyone got pics of these springs fitted?

cheers for your help
