What steering wheel?

  Clio 172 Cup
I guess it's not the answer you are perhaps looking for (if you want after market) but I've just picked up a leather wheel from a 2007 Clio Campus Sport. It's a direct swap for what's on the Cup now (same dimensions too). It doesn't have the thumb grips or the Renault Sport badge at the bottom although does offer the ridged rear around the rim which the stock Cup wheel doesn't. All things considered (and considering how badly damaged my Cup wheel was) I think it was a good £20 spent. Picked it up from a accident/damaged breakers. In fact given it may well suffer the same as other Renault leather wheels I would even consider sourcing another one from a late model Campus and storing it for future use, especially at the price.

My Cup's previous owner had fitted a Momo Tuner wheel (I think that was the model) and to be honest it wasn't for me, a touch small (I like a big rim... I couldn't resist, sorry) and gave too much feedback in comparison to what I get back through the standard sized wheel now. But that's probably just me. Perhaps the only benefit was a slightly improved wheel position as I think the adapter boss pushed out the wheel slightly more towards you which felt a tad better.
