What the biggest size alloys i can get on a 172?

Quick question what is the biggest size alloys i could put onto a 172 and what sizes do you all recommend?

dont know why all the fuss over 16's or 17's the rolling diameter is the same so no peromance loss wieght doesn't matter it makes so little diffrenece you cant tell. and the 17's more than likey will be wider so should handle better.

i'v got 17's and car's lowered by 30mm.
car rubs abit.
cant put 4 people in the car.
drives good though
mayb better handling now.
not as much fun then with 16's.
probably go back to 16's for a better ride and performance.
but for looks u gota go for 17's
i dont think i'v seen 18's on a clio yet. but work would need to b done for fitment of 18's.
if i could i would probably have a set of both.......... my existing wheels now, and a set of lightweight 16's... such as turinis style rims....

I went to look at a 172ff in Kent before i got mine, and it was on 18's.

Looked stupid, rubbed everywhere and the ride was crap....

i would suggest 15s as the tyres are cheaper, and if some one was lookin to knock em off they would go for the bigger rims.!!
