What to buy

  Pink & Blue 182, JDM DC2

Have a nice amount of spare cash this month and my car needs some love and nice bits... have compiled a small list - any other ideas:

Exhaust - already bought
New rear pads - already bought

B&M Quickshift
Eibach Pro lowering springs
Wheels Refurbed
Carbon fibre bonnet
Bumper resprayed and scratches sorted out

Anything else I could choose from. I cant buy everything listed but would like some pointers!!

Ta.

Eibachs and quickshift will change the feel of the car and others things will change the appearance, its up to you which you choose, personally id get a quickshift and eibachs if the moneys there

  E55, KitCar & '85 Quattro

u shud be able to fit the springs ureself (do the cups have rear springs or a torsion bar?) and they will be about £80 if they are no different to lesser models

i wudnt go much lower than 35mm tho.

and id also get the wheels done and buy lots of tyre shine so that u can put a smile on ure face wenever u see it parked up!

Well the eibachs are only about 15mm drop and will improve handling rather than drop it to the floor.

Any other advice?

How much are the eibachs? And are the expensive to be fitted?
Probably £60-80 to buy (total guess going on what springs normally cost)

Fitting will be around the same again, any more and youre getting knocked severely.

edit: Oops, but you have 4 springs so double the cost of everything!!!

[Edited by riplash on 25 May 2004 at 6:41pm] just looked on k-tec, they are £154 with the VAT for a set of 4

I thought the eibachs were a matched spring and damper set ? They are worth the money apparently, a few people have had them and said that the ride was great !! Quickshift is a very worthy investment

So I get 4 springs for £150, are my current shocks ok with these or should I save and buy the full deal?

Shocks and springs are well easy to change, i replaced my 172 standard shocks and springs for Gaz coilovers in a cpl of hours (including numerous spliff breaks)

Will be able to do it again in just over an hour i reckon.

Garages will charge about £150-200 + Vat to change em.

If your near Cambridge bring it round and i will help you do it mate! For a beer;)
