What wax?

Debating these following waxes as an entry level wax;

  • Autoglym HD
  • Megs 16#
  • PB's Natty Paste
  • Collinite 476
  • Victoria wax concours

I'm after something durable, glossy, easy to apply and to be used on a silver VW.

Any other suggestions c/c welcome.

Cheers :)

i currently have the pb paste wax on my car and im not that impressed with it at all..its good for the amount of content and price but id rather spend £7 on a dodo juice panel pot :) just my opinion though

What products do you currently have? The AGHD for £25 is a bargain you can the spend the rest on other areas if need be.

At the moment i have a bunch of chemical guys stuff like citrus wash & gloss, trim gel, new car scent, glass cleaner and quick detailer. Some bilberry, bilt hamber clay, prima glaze and AD enhance.

AG HD wax, or even better for silver autofinesse tough coat slealant, best finish I've had on a silver car.

If you want easy to apply and are consider the Vics, forget concourse and go for the collectors yellow, leaves a much better finish on metallic and identical in use, application, beading and durability

Indeed might be worth looking at tough coat or werkstat acrylic jett. Easier to use and a better finish on Silver.

Stick some Amigo on then just get 3 layers of sealant on there.

If you're going for a wax get AG HD. Think it's like £25 from Amazon. Superb durability.

I used to use R222 on my Silver Fabia and that came up brilliantly. Really easy to use etc, I dont ever hear much about it on here though?

It's just not durable enough mate. Both the R222's are Summer or show waxes.

I used to top it up every other week just by habbit so I guess I never really tested it for durability! What would you recommend for a BG 182? Soon to want to get the clio up to shape with the weather getting a little better, I've been considering the Zymol Carbon? Don't really want to go above £60 if I can help it.

as with all wax questions, what do you want from a wax? I've not tried my carbon yet but titanium did darken / deepen the finish on my dark blue focus.
