What would you buy after your Clio

  Volvo S60 D5

Ok. Question (along the lines of how much do you pay for insurance and how old are you...)

What car can you envisage yourself getting after you sell your Clio?

  Revels Mum & Sister

  Mondeo STTDCI

Cos Im young, I need somethin reasonably quick, but insurance friendly.

Alfa 146 2.0ti :D - fast, stylish, gorgeous, italian.. cant knock em!

Either that or a Clio 172/182

Either get my 1.2 converted to a valver/gtt or summin, or just buy a valver lol.

Cant really think of another car id rather have at the mo, prefer the clio mk1s to the mk2s.

I know cars i defo wudnt want, i.e. bmws, mercs....

After the Cup, and when I do less miles, ill buy a Corrado VR6 Storm.

Ive always wanted one, they are awesome motors, and it wont be a disappointment / a step down after the Cup even though itll be a lot cheaper and older. :D

146 ?? Dont you mean a 147 ??

Wouldnt mind one of them cars ,

Wouldnt mind having a car license aswell at the moment !!!!

No - there was a 146 Cloverleaf, which had a 2.0 150bhp lump. But it was Group 14 insurance, so cant see it being cheaper than a Valver. Slightly less pace than a Valver too, due to the weight.

Would love an Alfa 147 GTA, Clio V6 or Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione II myself.

Looking at changing from a 172 to a Civic Type R in the next month or so. After that, hopefully a V6 255 or possibly an EVO 6 :D

When I get my new job and im 21 im getting rid of the 172.

Then im going 2 get some sort of TDI and.........

a Mazda Rx7 Gen3 TURBO!!! (modded of course)

hmm, possibly something without an unreliable diamond badge on the grille!

wanna GTT my dynamique at the end of the year, but if not then will look at 172 with Turunis on, Vectra 2.6 24v (what i was buying til i screwed my insuance with an accident and had to get a 1.2!!), R5 GTT, Escort RST, maybe a valver... and loads loads more!

The model is the 146 TI, with the 2.0 150hp engine you mention. Yes its group 14 but even now its suprisingly cheap for me to insure (Im 19), a Valver (if I wanted one, I dont) is loooads more to insure!!

Other cars I like are:-

Volvo 850 T-5 Saloon (Black, Dark Green, Dark Blue or Burgandy) - Fantastic cars, parents have one of the 240bhp ones. Theyre great, fast, comfortable, high-specced and CHEAP to buy! Insurance is okay but servicing and parts are costly!

Audi 2.6 V6. Very cheap to insure, not awfully fast though although I love the shape of the A4. Very executive and understanded, maybe a bit bland tho...

  Lots of Alfas

Will stick to my 1.2 until I finished uni then might get myself a 172 (flame red of course) or a 2nd hand toyota supra or bmw zm coupe when i get a highly paid job (I wish). When Im richer i want a V6 (flame red of course), delorean dmc12, Ferrari Daytona, Bowler WIldcat and a AC cobra....not much really!

  Clio 172 Cup, Audi A

just seen pics of the new tigra in the latest auto express......

i know its a bit of a hairdresser car but tbh I like it...

Ive got a mk1 clio 16v GTT conversion now but once ive paid my car loan off and saved up a bit im after a late Supra Twin Turbo VVTI, 6 Speed manual or an R33/34 skyline GTR as sson as Im 25. Though i got a quote for a standard Supra - 1900 FC at 21 with 2 years NCD :D

Ive looked at a lot of fast cars and these are the best i could come up with for modding potential. The thing is itd be easy to throw 10k at them making them stupid quick. So im keeping in mind a a Ferrari 355 F1 spyder in black, whether theyll be much cheaper than 40k in 2007 ill just have to wait.

And im not planning on selling the Clio.

Well Ive got two years to wait, and at my present mileage, the companies likely to make me run an oil burner, If not It depends whats out at the time, I can have 3 doors, but not 2 seats, so V6 is out of the question, I might opt out if I have to buy a Diesel, Get my own cheap reliable car for buisness miles, and build myself a Westfield, or get a scooby/evo with mega horsepower for some weekend fun.

  williams 2 turbo

gotta be an rx8, i know what colour, what spec, what wheels, everything. but ill probably change mind next week. but its been one of these since i first saw one.

Probably a Ford Ka if last time is anything to go by !

Seriously though, I would like a VX220 Turbo or something small and nippy for a 2nd car because I will probably have a kiddy wagon as my 1st car by the time I change my new 172 again.

  Mk2 Clio V6 / 996 C4S

If I sell the V6, Ill look at a 911 or a Noble.

Youve got to have mid engined, or rear. And rear wheel drive.:D

  VW Potato

if the sun shines and God is kind, a 147GTA would make me happy, happy, happy, happy. I can hear it now... :)

Seems my choice isnt all that unique!! New Integra Type-R, had the older shape ITR for a couple years, and was great, and like the look of the new one (old one was ugly, but went well).

I just wish you didnt have to insure the new one as an import, as it gets stuck into group 20 because of it. If Honda would wake up to the demand for them, and sell them officially, itd save a lot of cash!!

Its that, or if my less pratical side wins through, an Elise, preferably S2 with toruing pack, but most realistically with a budget of (hopefully in a year or so) around £16k, itd be a top notch S1.

Also love the RX8, would have to see what their 2nd hand prices are doing at around that time...
