What would you do?.....

right i have my 172 which i love, just spent some money on it, cambelt, brembo discs all round, new pads all around, hoses etc....the only thing that bothers me is, a)its ok 63k, im not sure if this is a problem as i look after my car and know its mechanicaly sound, b) loads of stone chips on front, easily sorted with a front end respray? c) drivers seats is wearing, could buy mint second hand 182 seats or even recaros?

ive been looking at a 182 but is it really worth it....or i could spend 1k on my 172 and wait 12-18 months and buy somthing much quicker.......

just get on my nerves really, everytime i clean it, they are there pissing me off..................plus i need my wheels refurbbed.....but at the moment id say my car is quicker than a 182 so why change...hhmmm

p/ex it for a 197 cup mate, you will not be dissapointed. It's what I done with my black 172

lol yeah my 172 was quicker than some 182's - strange

Tis a car mate, i still think best way to deal with one unless its a lambo, is drive the thing, regardless of what it looks like, get the thing sprayed again and it'll only get more paint chips, I'd keep in mechanically sound, only Pc'ing geeks will turn there nose up at a stone chip, then when you come to sell, either discount a few hundred notes if someone complains about the chips and wheels, or have em done before you sell and add it onto the price

As above if you are intent on keeping it, don't bother getting it resprayed (unless you show it), but when it comes to the time of selling it get the bumper sprayed then, and drive slow until it's sold.

probably right...just want to save more cash so get somthing new, but havent got the cash at the moment as its in my business...

by the way are all the suicides in bridgend because they are jelous of your car......(was that to far:dapprove:)

i am happy with it, just showing its age is come cosmetic places.....but like i said dont have the liquid cash to p/x for somthing i really like.....and im starting to not see the point of changing to a 182....whats the point

You didn't know this so I can forgive you. One of the people who killed themselves, Gareth Morgan, was a close friend of mine. And I knew a further three, not really friends but to talk too. Bridgend is a relativly close community, So it's kind of one big village, even though its a town, everyone knows everyone. So this is quite a tragic time for bridgend!

No problems, you were not to know!
It's due to the layout of the town really that everyone knows everyone, there are so many pubs and clubs slammed into such a small area, another reason for Bridgend being as bad as Newport for alcohol related violance.
Don't believe this cult talk in the papers either. I knew Gareth all my life, it was relationship/family problems. The cult talk is just an excuse to take the pressure off the local authorities.

Yep.

You have to ask yourself; what do you prefer or get the most enjoyment from - looking at it or driving it?
