Hi Every1

i'm new to the site

I have a clio 1.8 16 valver, M-reg 1995 in blue

it has 80k on the clock, FSH, all previous MOT's, MOT til December, stacks and stacks of paper work and receipts.

it has a piper cam, been chipped, S/S exhuast, K&N, lowered, standard apart from that.

also had a new clutch and gearbox.

i am coming to sell the car now simply as i dont use it, and was wondering what sort of money it is worth, (as i am an RS man i haven't a clue)

any help advice would be great

Autotrader would suggest a standard one is worth about 1750-2000, id put it up for £2495 and drop a little.

I'd put it up for around 2.5k & drop a bit, it think you will get about 2.2k tbh.
I sold my mint as, standard M reg with factory leather about 4 months ago for £2700

I reckon two matey - I have just bought one for £1200 with 69k on the clock, but the bodywork is bad (more of a project car)

So I reckon £2k is a good price

agreed, hold out for 2.5 k if you can. Mine is very similar to yours, 70k on the clock, and body work mods (smoothing), not engine mods, and i've always banked on 2k. any more is a bonus.

yeah less than a grand is rubbish..it sounds almost exactly the same spec including paperwork etc as when i bought mine

i bought it in january for £2500 so i think about that or £2300 would be right

thanks again, thing il stick at £2k cos there are 1 or two little defects, bit of paint come off front bumper etc.

wish i could keep it really, great little car been driving it for last few days, sounds awsome! just had 4 cars (which is way 2 many lol) just sold my Fiesta RS1800

got my clio, RS turbo and a RS2000, god im greedy!

nah not selling the RS's got rid of the fiesta RS1800 cos i prefered the RS2k as my every day drive.

but the RS turbo is with me til i die! lol love it!

my mate had an M reg fez rs1800 - it wasn't a patch on my valver, he though the same, so sold it & bought a valver !

defects are, front bumper bit of paint flaking, not too noticeable

1 of the gauges not working in the tripod on the dash, small dent in one of panels, (again not really noticeable)

Price wise, it depends where you advertise it TBH...stick to cliosport or the like and you'll probably get close to 2k. Elsewhere you'll maybe edge the 1k mark...wether thats because people outwith owners clubs pay what they're really worth or don't appreciate them is a different story but thats the way it is. Certainly anything over 2k is well out of it by anyone sensibles standards (IMO).
