Track rods, track rod ends, ball joints, wishbone bushes, anti roll bar bushes & new or shocks. All that should make it feel brand new.

All of the above, we raced for two years on the same stuff, changed it over the winter and transformed the car.

Track rod ends & ball joints can be bought from a motor factors I recommend lemforder. The rest you get from renault. Shocks are around £50 each and wishbones are around the same price too and will come with ball joints so you won't need to get them separate infact. You could go for powerflex wishbone bushes too. Another thing to add to the list would be suspension top mounts.

After moving from a 172 where I done most of the above to a 225 megane the parts for clios are peanuts.

im in the process of doing this too, i have just gone to coilovers though so thats one bit out the way.

so you recomend track rod ends from lemforder? does anyone know the price of these?

wishbones come with ball joints from renault? do they come with bushes for the wishbones? i know they are about 50 quid for the wishbone but i didnt know the ball joints came with them.

i wont be going for powerflex wishbone bushes but i will be getting powerflex anti-roll bar bushes as i hear that makes a big difference.

and top mounts will be going to solid top mounts in the end so i will just wait for them.

Lemforder track rod ends are like £15-20 each your'll need to see what rack you have though either a SMI or TRW one, pop ur bonnet and look at the back of the engine and on top of your gearbox it should have a sticker stating it. And I'm 99% sure the wishbones from Renault don't come with ball joints? Might be wrong.

Renault wishbones come with ball joints attached. But you can't get the ball joints on their own from the dealers. Could use Lemförder ball joints, they're superb.

i want a full wishbone so thats all good to know :), do they come with wishbone bushes already in them?

great stuff, i just wondered how stingy renault where tbh

also the factory paint that comes on the wishbones is it anygood? or is it worth stripping them back and re-painting before i fit them to help preserve them further?

I had an inner track trod replaced around Christmas time, would it be worth doing the other side and both trak rod ends now
when I'm replacing the wishbones/balljoints and fitting powerflex bushes all round?

Aren't track rods part of the rack on a 172? If they are, does that require the rack to be removed and stripped in order to replace them?
