Not starting an argument, might be a common question, but what performance differences between a Cup 172 and a 182... are they evenly matched?

I see its one of those sort of debates as it... cup owners vs 182 owners... I would of thought the cup would have the edge in a straight line as its lighter considerably to make a difference, as oposed to an extra few bhp

lol at thread, and where its gonna lead.

TomClio182 and Si172 had a "race" on a private track with a 182(Cupd) and a 172Cup. Both with only induction mods, and it was neck and neck apparently over a number of runs.

But I think its fair to say, that a 182,172 or Cup could do another 172,182 or Cup etc, depends just on the day, weather, moon, driver, atmospheric pressure, or simply if the driver had weetabix for breakfast! ;)

Model answer, well done mate, lets just leave it there! Will a 82v172vcup thread not have to be locked for once? its looking good so far!

It all depends on how many Weetabix and if full fat or semi skimmed milk was used.

Sugar sprinkled on top can make a difference as well....

its just up to u now, whether u prefere the look of the cup/182 or the exlusivity(sp) of the cup, or luxuries in the 182...

Toms 182 isnt Cupd. We both have carbon fibre induction kits and silicone inlet elbow things from Hill Power.

Indeed the end result was neck and neck.

To set the record straight. There was absolutely, and I truly mean this, ZIP ALL in it.

Thats not a foot, a meter, a second, a minute. f**k ALL IN IT.

Now will people stop raking up the past . Thank you.

I thought he did have the Cup Suspension and spoilers, hence what I meant by "Cupd" etc.
