That's a good offer from Steve. Can I have some tech support too?
It depends entirely on your project goals and your ability to maintain the car. You must also consider long term user issues such as reliability, running costs, durability etc.
ITBs sound great, but are high maintenance and extremely difficult to setup and map properly. Every company under the sun will have a crack at fitting them to the clios, however I can think of a list of cars as long as my arm that have issues with balancing / ECUs / mapping / Disgusting loom work / MPG / Cr@p output (even less than standard in some cases) / even cr@pper cold starts /
Cams are a good option, however they don't have the added value of appearance and a cracking intake sound that an intake / ITB type product will provide. They do however provide a good base for intake related work at a later date which will provide a true 200 pony output.
Supercharger kits are proving extremely unreliable, spinning the crank pulley, killing aux belts etc.
Or just keep it near stock, resist the NEED for 190 bhp; port the inlets, nice zorst, decent filtration, good map aiming for a good 178bhp & 155ft/lbs, good brakes, a good quality set of coilovers and some trackdays away we go!
