whats this plug for?

So i was driving along and this thing taps me on the foot lol looked down and its a plug hanging down what isit for? Fell down from the steering colum

Has your car got cruise control? Looks like the switch has fallen apart by that pic.

If you don't have CC, just tape it back up to the loom thats there.

If you have CC, Remove the switch (push pedal, twist out) and try to re-assemble it, if you can't, new switch time.

I have cruise control I can only get the speed limiter to work but not cruise control.. so this must be why cruise control dont work lol does that go in the steering wheel somewere or the colum? Thanks

Confused now lol so I need a clutch switch and that plug if I cant reasemble it? I can set my speed limiter but I cant set the cruise control nothing happens when I try and set it lol

The pink bit in the picture, unplugs from the purple bit, so pop the clutch switch out, and have a go at reassembling it, I forget what they are like now, but should just be a case of putting it back together providing nothing is missing. Worst case you do need a new switch.

I hope that makes sence.

Popped it back on today and cruise control works a treat thanks guys!

To resurrect this thread, my cruise only works in 4th gear, but not 5th. Anyone got any ideas what could cause this?

Not to my knowledge. Abs light isn't on though, and speedo works fine?
