normal ones that come in dynamiques, cups, etc are only 10w output to each speaker, cabasse are 40w per speaker iirc

Cabasse is standard in 182's not in 172's

i had the same problem as the OP when i got the cabasse unit, it was the wrong color. so i took the front plastic face off my original dynamique unit and put it onto the cabasse unit....looks factory fit now

^ does it work fine with the steering controls jord? I want a standard head unit look but with better HU output, might have to invest in this

yep works fine.............. just make sure if you're current radio is update list, get the cabasse update list unit..........or if youres is tuner list, get the cabasse tuner list...


and yep you can do it, just look at the two sides of the unit, IIRC there is two clips on each end.......you have to take the metal clips off too with the torx bit to get it off, just take it easy and it comes off

undo the silver torx screw

then the sides should be loose with a bit of a pull, not too hard though...

then IIRC there is a lip along the top and the bottom, maybe a clip or two...i dont have my torx bits to hand so i cant do it to confirm

no i mean lol, if youve put a diff cover on the cabasse unit you still need to get the code for the cabasse and use that.............
