Can anyone tell me what this little black box does?? My mate doesnt have one on his 172....looks like sum sort of chip inside

Most likely to be for an alarm or extra ICE.

It cant be an alarm....dnt have one...its a french import and i only have the immobiliser

it looks like a fuse holder for an amp wire to me.

the same connectors are in the fuse box, prob part of the loom thats not in the box repaired and not but back in properly?
