whats wrong with my car!

my car has now been mainly off the road for 6 weeks now? its been in the local garage 6 times and also been into renaultgoes into local gargae again on tuesday!

Problem..> if a go over 60 and stay over that for a bit then stop and move off there is this starage knoking/humming noise coming from the passenger sidealmost sounds like its coming from the wheel? Also if the car has not been used for good few hours and i move off its as though the brakes are still on and the car slows down very quickly????

the car is on 17" rims and only lowwered by -35mm, all started when car went lop sided? .. so far ive had new spax springs, driverside lowwer arm and new anti roll bar !!!>> ARGHHHHHHH

have u checked your tires.... i wrote off my previous car when i had a knocking only coming when i went of 60ish and it was becuase my tires was on its way out. One night going about 70 it blew out and i flipped and spun the car on its head, total write off. Stayed with me ever since, fortunately i was ok. Thought it sounded similar so check em over good!

the tires are ok .. slight wear on the inside nothing bad though?

ill double check// i may put the rears on the front and try that.. rears are in mint condition!

Wheel Bearing? That makes humming noise when turning slightly round corners.. not knocking tho.. or at least mind didnt.

lowering the car unfortunately puts more pressure on the wheels so wheel bearings go a lot more often im afraid

it sounds the same as mine soon after lowering mine it started and mine was a wheel bearing on the passenger side the same - knocking and humming when you turned to the left and when you straightened up it was ok again?!

driveshaft knocks when it goes cos i had that too!! lol

you have put 17s on your car so that would make it slower off the line so it could just be that? is that what it feels like or does it feel like there is somat wrong?

powelly; i total agree with what you have said! its like you have drove MY car... renault said it could be the driveshaft but at a cost of £220 they could not guarntee the job would solve problem??

the car only knocks when i turn right though?
