Wheel Bearing?

Cars making a humming sound now when getting above 40mph - think its the wheel bearing.

Cars a 53 plate and just done 27k.

Only started to hear it today so does it happen quite quickly?

Anything else it could be?

And how much does it cost for the bearing? Sounds like its coming from the back.

When driving...drop the car into neutral and see if the noise persists...if it does, its the wheel bearing.

GSF told me this via email as I need to get some before the end of the month. Remember that this is for 2 new rear discs with the new bearings in.

"I've found the part number you need, it is R62428 the retail price is

> 164.85
> + VAT"

So gonna try a local factor and a Renault specialists to see which works out best deal as car is well out of warranty!

I got bearings from GSF and had them punched into my discs but later found out my discs where cracked! Ended up buying some discs and bearings and cost me around £250 fitted for both sides :(
