wheel bolts

ivade had a couple of wheel bolts snap on me the bolt is still in head snapped of how do i get it out.

You need some sort of stud extraction tool.

How have you snapped so many? Shouldn't be doing them that tight really.

I used a normall wheel brace never again lol had a local garage quote me 30 quid might just let them sort it

Ahh right, how many have you snapped?

Get a torque wrench and do them up to around 100nm.

30 quid to have them removed is not bad mate, It's bout what we normally charge!

Depends what model wether it has steel or alloy wheels usually.

90nm is for steelies. Not sure what the alloy setting is, but i've always done them to around 100nm.

That will be fine mate. Wouldn't go much more than that as it isn't really necessary.

What you meant to do if you don't have a torque wrench lol? Without going out and buying one.

I just do mine up firmly by hand!

The OP must be the Hulk, as he also did it by 'hand' and managed to break several bolts.
