wheel colour

im getting my wheels refurbed soon im after some thoughts my car is a silver 182 standard. ive had the car from new 6 years imbored with silver wheels i fancy something different ive no intention of lowering the car i like the comfort. so im thinking gloss black what do you think.

im in same boat. mines iceberg silver. they look really good in silver but can't help thinking painting them silver again is a wasted opportunity!

Thinking black cos anthracite only looks good on lowered (coilover) cars really. plus it is broken up by the disc and silver calipers and looks good with tyre shine.

In my opion black without a drop won't look right.

Anthracite or keep it silver. Your keeping standard suspension so keep them oem colours.

I agree that black does 'waste' the design of the wheel. Anth is done to death though and silver is, well just silver!

Maybe a really dark graphite grey. Or a dark bronze?!

Silver. Ive always had black wheels on my 2 previous cars, now got my 182 which is silver on silver and i like the look. Looks cleaner/fresh with silver wheels on.

I am in the same predicament, pick my silver 182 on Monday and my 2 front wheels will need a refurb so contemplating a complete colour change..spoken to my mate whos well into the dub scene and hes suggested going quite lairy with pink,racing blue,capsicum red,even alien green or liquid yellow, something like that..decisions decisions..if anyone facies doing a few photoshops that would be awesome..

dont do LY, yellow wheels look pants...theres an r27 for sale on autotrader with LY wheels... theyre terrible

and lowering on sportlines hardly changes the 'comfort'

sorry for the delay to youre thread nuckles i live at grindon im suprised you havent seen me ive had the 182 for 6 half years private plate ill keep a look out for you and give you a flash. ive seen you about when im in my work van nice none sport youve got there. ive decided on silver can anyone rec a nice bright sparkly silver cheers.

Just got a photoshop of a silver 182 sent over from a mate of mine..hes lowered the car approx 40mm and got the wheels in the same colour as the porsche gt3s come in.also note the front diamond badge is blue too.what do you guys think?View attachment 74770

^^^ I actually like the blue, it's different but not too in your face. I'm in a similar situation; titanium, tractor suspension, wheels need a refurb. I'm running compomotive mo6 and they just look right in silver, so i may just change the shade of silver as i'm unsure what they'd look like in grey/anthracite. Speaking of grey.....has anybody done/seen wheels on a clio in gunmetal grey? (just a thought)

not seen em,usually seen turinis as upgrade wheels..id imagine the mo6s would look pretty smart in a dark finish though..

I really like the blue a lot!! but for me it's too lary. Maybe I'm too old. I prefer anthracite or however you spell it..

i wasnt sure when he 1st told me about blue but i think its light enough to look good..might photoshop a lighter shade and see how it looks..was toying with red too???
