Just after a bit of advise please.
I'm going to refurb my 172 alloys myself but the only spare wheels i have around are my old 15inch 1.8 16v wheels. (the ones that are solid with small gaps round the edges all the way round).
Will these fit on my mk2 172 so i can get my backside 2 work in the meantime.
I've got the 172 mk2 wheels with the plastic centre caps,how do you prepare the plastic centre cap for spraying. Do you prepare it just the same as the alloy, with sand paper etc (if so what grade papper??) or do you just clean them up and spray with final chosen colour?????????????????????????????????????
Finally,
When your applying the top coats, apparently your ment to sand the wheels down between each coat.
What grade sand paper do you use to do this ?
AND
How long do you give each coat to dry before you sand it down???
