Wheel size??

ive just been readin an old thread. noticed a few people sayin ya shouldnt put bigger that 16s on phase2 172s. does anyone know why?

Probably because it'll mess up the awesome handling characteristics of the car, at a guess.

Mines on 17s had them on when i bought it. sounds like i need some standard 1s.

I'm just taking a guess mate, i've only had mine a couple of months, so don't know that much about them, yet.

16" 's are a good compromise of handling and ride and they are lighter. On a Cup 17"'s are really a horrible jarring ride.

17"s are heavyer so ruin acceleration/handeling, look crap and most are fitted with 40 profile tyres that make the ride a bit crashy.

16's are good, i've had all 17's 16's and now running on 15's which are much better in my opinion!

Lady I bought my 172 off had 19's and has ruined the arches =[ they've rubbed in a few places and are not good! Back to 15's for me =]
