Wheels aligned - now service and traction lights on dash

I've just had my alignment down, it was out 7mm apparently, and as soon as I drove away the service and traction warning lights came on.

Am I right in thinking I need to get a diagnostics machine to reset it or something?

I took it back and after a chat I mentioned how the steering wheel was always slightly to the right before. So he went and aligned it again and the fault cleared. And now the steering wheel is straight.

So I don't know what he has done to fix it. I hope he hasn't just misaligned it to clear the fault

I mentioned the abs sensor too and got him to check it. He said it was fine and that he wasn't near it when doing the aligning

Just check the steering wheel is tracking straight to when driving straight as the steering angle sensor will flag a fault if its out by 5° or more.

It should 100% be going back though to whoever did it for you.

You posted an update just before I posted... no need to go back. It was because the wheel was misaligned

Not really, it depends what the steering angle was before and after vs the actual steering position.
