wheels refurb...home made!suggestions?

as the title...

i've buyed a set of OZ F1's wheels and I want them matt blacks but specialized firms are asking too much money ... can do it at home with the spray? not spray compressor...only spray!

is a crap? When do to change the tire there is the risk of ruining the wheels???

someone has refurbed wheels home made?

please help me...

Everyones doing it, theres a guide in the guides section. Its easy, just rub them down with some wet and dry. Primer. Colour. Laquer. Done.

try not too rub through the original primer as this makes life alot easier

rub with only water for a clean or sandpaper for scratch it?

sorry but...what means "laquer" ?? can't translate! it's a trasparent spray to protect paint I suppose...

Rub the wheel with sandpaper so that it goes dull/matt, this then provides a surface for the paint to adhere to

Thats correct, laquer is a clear coat which will protect the paint.

Taking your time is also key. If you try and rush it there is far more chance of something going wrong.

Also, most prople will suggest that you leave the wheels to properly dry before you put them back on the car.

paint = weight, i am dissapointed in you to be fair!

Also make sure the wheel is free of contaminats like oil etc and that you have clean hands as this to can react with the paint.

Its not that hard to do. If the wheels have been painted before its abit more tricky i had abit of a mare with my 182 wheels compared to wheels id done before

I did one on Sunday.

It came out s**t.
