Wheels refurbished (d.i.y. job)

Just a quick teaser for you all.... after getting all people opinions on here for colour choice for my car I went with Gloss Black, taken me about 3 / 4 days of hard work sanding down, spraying etc...

Heres just a quick finished picture... on weekend sometime will post a step by step guide with photos etc... I also did my brake callipers

How far did you sand back the paint?

Ummm.... well I bought the car in 2006 and even though the wheels were immaculate then, I wreckon they had been refurbished by previous owner because they were flaking in places, sanded quite a bit back, nothing to drastic.... just till top layer of lacquer and shine of original silver dissapeared.

looking great on the black wheels. top job pretty easy to do yourself to, sprayed some impreza wheels once which came out nice. just have to seperate the alloy from the tyre so you dont end up with a painted tyre lol
