When is my next service due?

Hello all.

The car I have just bought (182) was servied last at 5,000miles and on the 01/08/05. The car has now done 16,500miles. When will the next sercie be due?

Also...was the 5,000miles service in august 2005 neccessary? I thought it was every 12,000miles?

Thanks a lot, jack.

Yes it is Donny so I am correct in thinking I need one at 17k or by 01/08/2007?

Need to do it on 1st of Aug to be on the ball. Because as said above...whichever comes first (this being the date rather than mileage).

Service should be between £150 and £200 depending on where you go...although make sure your water is topped up...or the 'stewards at the stealers will try and charge you for the washer fluid! Bring your own oil if you want the price down as well...5w40 or 0w40.

If you're in S.Wales...try Mike @ Rentech he is Clio Specialist...and should be able to give you good value/service...he's in Portsmouth though. :)

Portsmouth is a little far for me buddy! I am from right down the south west near the coast!

I am so glad that I was right with this and I didnt need one 4500 miles ago! Few! I wonder why it had a servcie at 5k? Or is this normal?

You would normally (if going by Mileage) get a grace of 500 or 1000 miles IIRC for your service intervals.

A lot of people have oil changes at 6K, maybe the original owner just wanted it doing for peace of mind. Don't forget Renault will let you do them as often as you want, if you pay them! ;) It also helps to show that the car has been looked after on paper (better resale value).

Go to Gravells cheaper the Renault Swansea for some reason but beware customer service aint that s**t hot but u get a free courtesy car (well I did any way) mine cost me about £200 for my last service about 6weeks ago. Hope this helps Jack
