When rain stops play

Guys, what is the etiquette when it starts to rain whist you're detailing your car?

Do you guys leave it till the next day or dry it off by hand etc?

It always seems to come when i'm either polishing or sealing & waxing. If it just spits for a bit, I usually end up drying as best i can with a microfibre (which i don't like doing) and carrying on where i left off. Very annoying when it's abit stop start.

To be fair... i don't know how people detail in this weather. I washed and clayed the car this mornin, took about 1.5hrs...That all i could bear!
heated garage tho! :) Tomo's job! ha!

As Ali if the weather looks crap I don't even bother washing let alone anything else.

If I did have to polish this time of year I would polish and then seal a wax a panel at a time. If it then rained I would re wash and then carry on after the rain.

I don''t have a garage, I am just a hard (and stupid) b*****d! ;)

I have to check the weather report the day before if I am unsure, nothing is worse having to stop half way through!

A man of many talents?!? I would love to build a bigger one, sadly I don't think my parents would be too happy! And no room where my flat is...unless I clear out the bin room?!?

When I get a "proper" house a double garage is essential!

I do it a panel at a time, but i don't think i'm up for this detailing malarkey. Couldn't be doing with rewashing it :rasp:

Thought i'd better give it a wash last weekend, as it'd been neglected for 2 months! Shocked by how many new scratches, stone chips and what seems like bubbling on my paint work :(

Can't be bothered to start a new thread so while i'm here, what would offer more protection;

2 layers of sealant with no wax
or
1 layer of sealant and 1 of wax?
(i'm using Jett trigger and jeffs carnuba at the minute)

I would do 2 layers of the Jeffs AGT, and then add a layer of Carnuba the next time you wash the car.
