Where’s VIN number

Im in the process of buying a used mk2 172 sport (the current one).

Can someone please tell me where on the engine and stamped into the Chassis the VIN number is. I know there is a sticker inside the drivers door and some kind of stickered bit of dash plastic under the tax disc location. I need to see stamped in proof and couldnt see it on the first viewing.

i too couldnt find it on my megane coupe, could only find the sticker on the door frame, sorry.

That is a good question, I was wondering that too when I purchased my Clio. I dont know where it is stamped on the chassis, and the user manual is not saying. As for the engine, it is kind of hidden, but essentially it is on top of the oil filter.

your have to speak to renault them self as they are proberly the only ones who will know.
