Where's my fuel cut out switch?

My 172 just packed up on me the other day after I hit a pothole!
I got the AA out and he was none the wiser, the engine turns over but it just won't fire, I'm booked in with Renault tomorrow but I just want to see if the fuel cut off switch has come on with hitting a pothole before I take it in.

The AA guy said it could be the fly wheel sensor, a bad earth or the ECU.

mk2 doesn't have one (well not one that can be reset manually)

That's why I couldn't find it in my handbook then.
