Which Clio Is Best....

Just spent an enjoyable morning at Bridges Renault in Reading.

Drove a 172 Cup and a 182 with the Cup pack back to back. Steve the Salesman there is a good bloke and let me go out on my own and rag the crap out of them for a good half hour in each car.

Out of the 2 Id say that the 172 Cup is better but what do other people think?

this will only get messy, the "best" is whichever you prefer. its such a personal thing that you cant really answer it definately without people arguing.

true what loony says it will just get out of control with peeps going on bout what is the "best"!! get the car u just loved and didnt want to get out of like me on my test drive in the 172 cup! lol its what feels the best for u mate.

LOL - will do my best to stir it up ! he he he he

All Im going to say is, originally I was going to get a 172 cup to compliment my V70- T5 but just as I was going to purchase - the 182 with cup packs came out, well - I really liked the colour and look of the 172 cup (and I mean really) but, I just fell head over heels for the 182 with c/packs cos for once I could get the taughtness and power associated with the 172 cup but with the comfort and support I enjoy in the T5.

As said the 182 probably wont be run in properly.

In the last few months mine has gone from a total disappointment to something I love to bits.

I found the 182 to be a bit more soft than the 172

 i owned a mk2 172 for 27k miles and ive had my 182 (with cup packs) for 2.5k miles and i wouldnt agree with that.

I always think of a cup as only a performance clio and i dont think id like that!!!

Why not just go for 172/182 they equal the same as a cup plus more, they have virtually the same performance plus comfortability and looks all rolled into one!!!
