Cheers Guys
Makes and interesting read! Its just every 1.6 16v ive come across ive left for dead (Sorry 1.6 boys no offence meant!) but they all seem to argue they can keep with valvers.
But that works out that a valver has about 30bhp per tonne more which is alot i think well all agree!
I assumed this before but was proven wrong by someone on this forum, there are a few SOHC 16v engines but they are nowhere near as common as DOHC 16v engines, but yes the 1.6 16v is DOHC and 110 BHP as standard whereas the valver is 137 BHP as standard and 20 kg lighter which is nothing when you think that the driver could be 20kg heavier or could have 20kg more ICE, the weight is negligable the BHP isntQuote: Originally posted by Matt16v on 26 May 2004
