Which polishing machine to buy?

  Arctic Blue 182FF
Been contemplating for a while about purchasing a machine polisher, but i do not know all that much about machine polishers, just that you can get either a rotary action or dual action..
Had a quick look on amazon for a few and although i know you get what you pay for with stuff like this, i have found some cheaper alternatives which look half decent..

Any of these look to be a good option?

Cheers,
Conor.

Can't go wrong with a das6 pro if your just starting out mate.
Get used to it, then if you think you need a bit more. Flog it and buy a rotary.
I love my das6 pro

i just had a look at that one, doesnt look bad at all, and its dual action, whereas the ones i mentioned are all rotary. Cheers bud!

I was just about to start a similar thread - been asked by a few friends and family to sort their car out so figured I need to get a DA.
Been looking at this kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kestrel-D...ssories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item3cc8fb978e
Includes the pads and compounds etc - anyone suggest anything better for the money?

Have a look in this thread mate. If you read through you can see the recommendations for buying seperately.

Cheers bud, how did/do you get on with the 5.5" pads? Do you find they're too big for some parts of a clio?

I happened to speak to paul dalton the other night at work and he couldn't recommend the rupes bigfoot enough.

I have 2 a DA and a rotary. I never use the DA, the rotary is just far far better.

Infact yesterday I did the whole car very quickly in under an hour with one and although it wasn't perfect for the time the results were amazing. Should say that's under an hour with the polisher only. I'd spent an hour washing and claying etc.

These are the only pics a took but shows the improvement from a very quick buff. This was only a polishing pad with a cleaner fluid. It' pre wax and once waxed it helped the correction too. No way could you do this in the time with a DA.

I'm shocked. Same guy that was sponsored by 3M at one point?

It's not a good machine for a beginner imo.
