Why rid of the r1r's mate, the screw incident should be easily repairable?Just fitted Avon zv7 allround, seem great so far.
Are they only 200 yeah, thought they'd be much lower than that. The R1R's are 140. In contrast to a proper track day tyre the Avon ZZS I used at Blyton on Saturday were 20, lol.AD08R's for me. Ran them daily before now and they're sound in the rain, and the best road tyre this side of a semi-slick in the dry. They look amazing too.
Only downside of the above is the lower treadwear of 200, as opposed to around 300 with your regular road tyres. Does mean they wear quicker, especially when you like to drive spiritedly.
Used to be 180 when I had them, but they've put them up to 200 now. But yeah not as low as trackday tyres, still definitely a fast road/track tyre really. Are they only 200 yeah, thought they'd be much lower than that. The R1R's are 140. Not a chance would I recommend AD08Rs in the pissing rain on a cold winter's day. I had them only on the front and they were constantly skipping and planing at motorway speeds in the rain
PS3s are a good tyre, so that's what I'd go with.
Lol ditto.I've used them on ice and snow
Lol ditto.
Not sure how fast people want to drive in sketchy conditions, any tyre is sketchy if you're flying along in the rain or snow.
True - but I think that being able to emergency stop for something unexpected is nice. lolLol ditto.

Must have been all that face bending torque from your Volvo :wink:70 is hardly a big ask. Not too big an ask for any other road tyre I've ever used (willingly at least) either.
Fair enough, I managed to keep it on the black stuff or out for 2 years every day with them on without fault anyway.True - but I think that being able to emergency stop for something unexpected is nice. lol

I've used them on track in the pouring rain too and didn't have a particular issue. But that's just my experiences with them anyway.
Not disputing that at all, no question they're better in bad conditions. But people on here make them out to be lethal, which isn't true. The Volvo doesn't run on PS3s. It runs on PS4s which are better again but not available for the Clio yet.
I've used the two tyres back to back and the wet performance of the AD08R is simply not as good as the PS3. End of. Same for the cold performance. That's OK if you're using them because you want the hot grip, but since the OP isn't doing track days it's pointless going for a borderline trackday tyre and never actually using it in the conditions it's designed to perform best in, when there are better road tyres for driving in the actual situations it IS used in.
R888R's ... go hard or go home 😂

AD08R's are epic mate. Just need a bit of heat in them before you drive hard.Spoken to multiple kwik-fits and the best price i can get is £279.96. They refuse to pricematch invoices which is a shame.
Makes sense to just get these though as Ben Patey is £240 delivered tyres only, and for £39 more I save any hassle of finding somewhere to fit them.
Youve had some ado8rs fitted this morning and you cant wait to fit them?Just had 4 ad08r's fitted this morning for the sum of £275.96. Can't wait to fit them! If anyone wants the invoice, let me know.
