Which uses more power - Xenon Vs halogen?

As per title, trying to find out which uses less power as i may drop a set into the PH1 track **** as 1. standard lights are shite & 2. will more than likely be running a very low ampage batterey

i think the initial start up of the xenons is a big drop but after that they run at low power iirc!

Halogen uses more power, your alt powers the car on the run BTW so your cranking current etc means nothng when running lights etc

Good stuff , so next question, how much more do xenons, icluding the ballast actually weigh? cant be that heavy surely?

You dont need lights on track.............if it bothers you so much take them out.

Affraid its gotta drive ON THE ROAD to the ring in April so surely i'll hit some evening driving either there or the way home :dapprove:.. In an ideal world i would ditch the lights & run the cold air feed through the front light like on the cup racers

30 minute drive from me so can check them out in the flesh , lucky the PH1 172's use dual optics as the mains

There the ones ive got very nice piece of kit and the guys who sell it seem to know there stuff and were very helpful when I had problems with one of the bulbs.

Will have to invest in some, driving the PH2 daily i'm just used to the xenons, what colour did you go for? got any pics?
