Hi
I've got some King big end bearings to fit and the 2 halves are clearly of different material so I want to make sure I get them the right way around.
The ones that came off had a U on the upper shell i.e. the one that went in the con rod and the other (bottom half) had an S. All the other markings were identical.
The new ones all the markings are identical except half of them have a U on.
So is having a U a standard convention to signify this is the bearing that goes in the con rod/top side.
Never done an engine with different shells for top and bottom.
Thanks
