whiney 182's??

i know the majority are rough and lumpy when their cold (i.e. left overnight) and especially now the weathers getting worse, but ive started noticing mine 'whines' quite a bit when its cold. sounds a bit like its supercharged or something. lol

this happen to anyone else? might just be cold alternator/auxillary belts?

just wondered if its normal cos the cars going into renault on monday for 5 faults to be fixed under warranty (hopefully)

Mine has always done this mate when its first started from cold, and as it warms slightly the whine go's... I think maybe its something to do with the power steering.. dont no though??

alarm fault - second attempt at fixing, they tried once on my 12k service and didnt fix it

steering wheel the leather has gone all dodgy but not sure what will happen about that..

engine mount
brake light switch needs adjusting
pass side seat release lever is getting really stiff and nearly snapping off (i very rarely have any one in the back seat)

is that the 3 beeps alarm fault? if so, can you post if they fix it. I started a thread on here asking if anyone had got it fixed, but no-one replied. Mine does it all the time so interested to know if renault will fix it

Mine whines. Reno said they couldn't hear it when I took it in.....hmmmm.
Does dissappear once warmed up though

on a side no how much does the new mini whine all the time !!! not even the supercharged versions just any new mini sound like a moaning old cat

Thats the electronic Power Steering mate.

...my 182 whines in first gear (normal) but I recently had a whine all the time and an odd smell; turned out the alternator was on its way out...had to get a new one.
