Whining (sp) on cold startup??

Been noticing for a while now that my 182 is whining quite abit on startup? I only really notice it when its been left overnight and I start it up in the morning or if its been really cold. If its been left all day at work and started up I seldom hear it. Ive recently had a new cambelt, dephaser pulley, aux kit all done so I'm pondering what this could be as the engine is pretty much silent other than this. It disappears completely once I'm driving. Sounds a little bit like a SuperCharger I guess?

I had a search, only showed 3 threads though? Is it an easy fix?

It's nothing that needs fixing if I understand it correctly. It's just one of the quirks that the RS's have I believe.

Arh okay, cheers mate. It doesn't really bother me, just sounds abit weird so wanted to double check

All RS's do this I read this once on a website was a buyers guide for a 1*2.

cant remember why but they all do this.

Even the smaller engined cars do it , my 1.4 does it when i cold, i never had any problems so just accepted it as normal lol
