Whistling sound at 100mph+

I've recently bought a 182 and i've noticed that whenever i go over 100mph theres a loud whistling sound that seems to be coming from air vents below the windscreen, the noise gets louder and louder the higher you go over 100.
Does any one know what could be causing it?

definitely coming from inside?
Only say this because the wing mirrors whistle at high speed.

it is the seal around the top of the windscreen by where the rear view mirror attaches ot the plastic at the top. if you get a paseenger ot push it at those speeds (when done legally) it should stop.

my old 182 used to do it. but i could never find a cure. I reckon a new windscreen seal would do it.

My Williams did this, but at much lower speeds. 80 ish

mine does this too, put it down to widowscreen seal aswell as it's had a replacement screen in the past and may have not sealed correctly. my noise is at around 60mph.

does seem to be a common problem, you'll just have to live with it.

The sound is definitely coming from the inside and im pretty sure its from the front air vents, quite hard to pinpoint the exact location thought. I also tried closing all the vents but its still the same.
And to the people commenting about the speed this was all done on a track off course

Have you tried turning the radio up a bit ? Or you could put your/someone elses fingers in your ears !? :rasp:

Windscreen seal. Mine used to do it at around ~115mph. My mate's always does it at 100mph. AFAIK mine's been fixed since I had the screen replaced.

My driver door begins to whistle at 90+.......as discovered running the 1/4 mile at Crail and not on the public road.

My drivers door whistles at any speed and always has. Probably because it fits properly. The passenger doors on all 182s don't fit the bodyside properly, and don't whistle. It's a Renault.

Really? Look at the lower half of the door. The bodyside doesn't follow the same line. Every Clio II I've ever seen is the same. The door is probably the correct shape, no doubt the LH bodyside geo tooling has always been wrong.

Yup, they probably had a fit, or robot access issue in the framing gates and adjusted it out of tolerance to suit. f**k it that'll do, lets go get a coffee. Something along those lines

I get a whistle from my drivers door from 20mph but not that loud or noticable with the radio on. I call them renna noises.

I had my windscreen replaced feb 2008 (zone A chip would not have passed an MOT), then noticed for several weeks a howling/whistle/resonating noise at 60-80 mph.......took it back (RAC windscreens) they rebonded the glass, not a whisper since!

The noise I had was quite loud and noticable, not an annoying quiet whistle, so not sure if thats your problem or air being forced through you cabin air feed? My wingmirrors whistle all the time.....

My OS mirror used to whistle at about 30-40 mph too lol..

When friends ask I just say its a Renault.. they seem to accept that explanation without hesitation lol

Im going to try taping up all the vents at the weekend so I can find exactly where the sounds coming from as I need to get it sorted, its just too loud to ignore

. Im quite sure its not coming from the windscreen seal but if it is does anyone know how much it would cost to get the windscreen resealed?

Mines whistles at the corner windscreen clips.

They don't fix properly anymore in the groove... lifting up.

100% on it coming form the windscreen by the rear view mirror. it isn't the vents. it will be the windscreen.

Go out and try what i said. I don't know how many times i have to post it tbh.

it will be the bonding around the screen, i have seen a couple of 182s like this. and it does sound like its from the heater vents.
