whistling when changing gear

every time i change gear and put the clutch up (normally allpy the gas before the clutch is fully up) and it makes a whistling / wooping noice as the clutch meets the bite?

any idea what this could be

its a 1.2 mk2 ph1 w reg btw

Its probably the clutch release bearing.
