His car looked so smart!! really did. i would have mine just like his if i ever got a 197. I thought i'm gonna race that defo, but when i got two opportunities he refused. Shame really, His missus would have prob had a go if i asked her. Her car looked Bloody good too!!

Yeah that's Ben. Ah you're kidding, I asked the guy at the front if I could race you but apparently some guy behind me was getting organised so I couldn't. Bad times lol.
I would've been up for anything although the last few races me and Ben tried to get lined up together for a comparison test lol.
Cheers, that was my first opportunity to see what the car was made of with the new engine and I loved it!!

i would have loved to have had a go up against ya. i was looking forward to racing him. i'll race anything to see what its like. how did you do against him??
That was my first time doing a 1/4 mile was pretty pleased. reckon i could have done better if i was making full power. i was 15bhp down and no point holding onto gears as peak power had dropped down the rev range.

That's a shame, you were right next to me when I spoke to the guy once and then the second time when you would've raced Ben was when I had queued an hour with him for a timed (i went untimed) so we could race together.

Def have to do it next time. if ya at FCS then have to come have a chat with ya. i only had one video of myself someone else took when i raced the yellow MR2. i did mostly untimed runs many more runs that way.
Thank you!! Got few body work bits to do and squeeze bit more power from the engine and add a Diff and should be done. Until end of year. (Boosted on Bodies, hopefully)

I was the same, I only waited in that line once so I could line up next to Ben, caused havoc in the queue lol. Much quicker to go untimed.

Spec at moment is
GSXR 1000 Throttle bodies,
280 degree Cat Cam 4600645,
QEP Head with machine flowed and angled valve seats and valves, Janspeed Exhaust Manifold,
OMP Grp A system,
190cc injectors
all running on an Omex 600 ECU.
Its making 155bhp atm, but will be making 160-165bhp+ once i got my longer trumpets and bit of fettling with the map i hope.
Its 180bhp+ per tonne now.
Firstly I hardly chickened out as I waited an hour in line to get a left lane timed run and wasn't about to waste the oppotunity because the chap in front fancied a blast with me, if you wanted to run you should have come and asked, I would have only been too happy

i did say to you at the beginning of the day when me an my mate with the yellow 197 came to have a chat, but ya didnt really seem to interested in having a friendly chat. maybe i took that the wrong way though. No bother though.

Ah sorry man didn't mean to be rude or anti social. So many people spoke to me that day Im having a hard time remembering you? Defo woulda remembered chatting to another 197 owner are you sure it was me?
Next time I'm down north Weald I'll throw u an invite and we can see how the two cars compare. Although I've already been embaressed by my mates cammed 106 gti so don't expect any underestimatation lol...
