bought this the other week after the sale of my ibiza cupra.

had a few little problems
had a oil leak which is sorted( i hope) havent drove it to see if its stopped
wired the horn switch in(on wheel)
new cd player
just trying to sort heating out now.
i know the fan works.
im just trying to see if its a relay or the wiring?
hm not had a proper good look yet.

bought some cleaning gear for it also which came out quite expesnive when i ordered it lol
refurb the wheels in white

and possibly spray the cage
red or black or white. possibly white as i think red is to in your face.

the roof wil be staying as i personally like it(and makes the car unique)
saves me following them sheep doesnt it.:rasp:

Random place for the vent though!

I dont really understand this car, its stripped but has a cool looking roof and headlights id expect to see on a 1.2! Where are you going with it, track ****? Is that the Ktec show cage in there?
 
Have seen this on the net recently, possibly on one of the other Clio forums.

Been considering grabbing a 1.2 or something and dropping my engine/running gear into it as the car itself is fooked. Does look very nice, especially in white!
 
its a ktec cage indeed.
not sure why the hole is there considering the filter is other side?who knows

care to explain how the car itself is fooked?

on the cage i will be welding in another diagnol so makes it abit more none showcage gay lol

i was previously against cliosports before this purchase as i did own a ax vts with 708 catcams and predator standalone ecu and a clio was sloow in comparence.

Lol at the cambelt cooling comment. or maybe its just there to make me buy a set of boddies?

the angels are a tad chav but parts can always be changed. but its not on my to do list just yet.
 
I like it, whats it dropped on? You must be nearly on the bumpstops that low, does it even handle that well like that lol? Mine was awful any lower than it is.

on weitec coilovers
with powerflex bushes all round
it handles really good surprisingly, really solid and sticks to the ground even on budget tryes.
i will becoming a tad higher on the front though. 5/10mm max.
but the 300m steering wheel makes the driving experience so great.
 
Hey, there was a thread bout this car a while back, was on ebay and the guy who owned it was claiming he had dropped 25k into I think!!
It actually looks pretty good, apart from the bonnet, it doesn't seem to fit properly.
Love it in white with the white wheels, think it looks like a proper racer!!!
What seats does it have in it? they look pretty sweet?
Will look out for you round town!

yea there was. ive checked reciepts but he must of made a few K up lol
but ktec have done seriously alot of work and i know they arent exactly cheap lol
bonnet is on raisers which will be removed. Hense the not perfect fitt.

sparco seats unsure of model name but seriously comforty.

what do you drive will? and where you based?

Yeah man get that bonnet down and it will look sweet. I have a 172 cup, standard at the mo.
I live in Clarendon Park, Welford Road side. What bout you.
There are a fair few people on here from Leicester area.
 
i live out in the sticks near countesthorpe

i rarely see any clio sports about to be honest.
will keep a eye out for you dude

Have been out towards countesthorpe a few times looking for some good roads!
 
i saw this at ace cafe a few months back LEAVE THE CAGE its a decent one, bolt in iirc? what IK is it now running ? looks very nice but just nn=eeds alot of tlc from what i remember i love it tho!! good buy

its bolt in. its the ktec one.
ill be keeping it
but adding another diagnol in. when i find out what its made off?
whats IK?

it has a crack in the rear bumper
and few bodywork marks. but my cleaning goodies will be sorting that(not the crack)lol

Very nice, Id be sourcing another bonnet with respray, Dont like the vent.

Other than that the standard xenons that i see your looking for and its a nice car.
 
yh i remember it having that crack lol IK - induction kit ? iirc it had an open cone of somesort
 
i quite like the bonnet to be honest so will be staying.

IK lol never heard of that before but
it has a pipercross viper enclosed now. with the samco induction elbow.
 
this car has changed a few hands recently , the previous owner is on here , didnt have it long , he bought it of e bay for 2k i think then spent a £1000 on it getting it up together ,
 
im the 3rd owner irrc so couldnt have changed that recently? lol
would love to see previous older older pics of the car.

also will any standard headlights fit? eg non sports?or have to be sport?
 
defo keep the bonnet, and yh that induction kit sound better than what it had the previous owner was gttnutter iirc??

I do like this car. Dont get Turnis tho, They are soooooooooooooo gay. everyone has them.

2118's suit the car much better and they look great, they are getting quite popular too tho :(
 
2118's are still miles better and would suit your car perfect, I might try a different colour other than white though just to break it up.

Im not sure how much that cage would actually do in a crash though as its just a show cage? Probably just colapse and crush you I would imagine, will be good with it welded up :)

I agree with the steering wheel comment mate, I love mine totally changes how the car feels compared with the standard bus wheel.
 
might just keep the turbines and refurb them.
the cage is a solid metal and not like chocolate wrapped in metal coating like them showcages Lol

oliver james where you based in wigston, im only down the road literally.

is that the only difference? the bulbs? in the headlights?

im not sure on the colour scheme to be honest. so happy to take comments on that?

he has had it about 2 months ?? it had a plate on it saying esx boy or something , can remember it on e bay as i was going to buy it and break it for bits ,
