White Side Lights?

So having a cup i obviously don't have Xenons!

Anyways thought i'd treat it to some new bulbs and bought some xenon filled 4000k bulbs which actually work better than i thought they were going to...

Only problem now is that sidelights look pants! Any ideas? LEDs worth a try?

i jsut bought some LED sidelights off ebay for afew quid jsut to see what they were like and they look alot better than i was expecting,

where did you egt your 4000k bulbs from?

and if i have white lighs and sidelights my fogs will look gash so does anyone knwo where to get white fog light bulbs?

Doesnt matter about fogs does it! Use them like once a year if that......unless ur a chav :rasp:

Should be fine. I got a couple of set of ebay leds and im impressed, almost the same colour as my xenons.

lol i know what you mean about the fogs i just think it would look good to have all white lights, and also i use mine quite a bit i liev out in the sticks its always foggy..

Yeah they are the same w5w / 501 / capless .Same as the interior lights in the Mk2 as well .

I did this after trying 3 different sets of LED's which all looked like a slightly different shade of white.

Above the rear view mirror ?? In my FF 182 both interior bulbs are the 501 wedge type bulbs , same as the sidelights .

Try searching for ace_lighting on ebay mate, he does loads of bulbs for all cars and hes got loads of kits with foggy bulbs in them aswel. Iv just bought a full set for £12 and they are pretty bright.

My cup only has a single tilting light by the rear view mirror

Really? iv bought 3 sets of bulbs off him an all of em were great. I got one the other day and recieved em and one of the sidelight bulbs blew straight away so i emailed him an got another 2 days later. hes spot on. Ill try find it now cause mite not be the rite one lol.

Yeah . seems like they've stopped selling them for some reason . Can't see why though . Mine have been in for nearly 12 months with no problems .

I haven't a clue mate what the cups have in them tbh . I wouldn't have thought they would be festoon bulbs though in the tilting light . I thought they would be the standard w5w capless bulb .

Cups/Trophys/Poverty use the festoon ones. It was confirmed in that ill fated interior LED group buy thread
