WhiteLine ARB

Fitted on this afternoon and just taken it for a little run.

Although the turn in is sharper, the front end feels as if it's skipping slightly and the back end seems more nervous, not dangerously nervous but it wouldn't take alot of provoking for it to step out.

Just wondering if I've fitted it correctly or maybe my Koni's need adjusting slightly to compensate for it? In the pics, on the drop link where there's two nuts at the bottom, there isn't a definite position for them and perhaps I've not got them in correct place?

If it's skipping as you say your whole set up is too stiff, it will be lethal when driving in the wet. If it's adjustable taken off some tension and soften up the Konis at the rear to start with. As you have a Cup I wouldn't think a rear ARB is a worthwhile upgrade.

How many holes do you have in ARB? as I cannot see in the picture,if you have another one next to the one you have bolted it through, try that one as you have it in the hardest setting.

On the drop link put the nuts down nearer the bolt eye, this should soften it up a bit.

Yeah I have the rears currently set to the hardest setting and the fronts set about 180 degrees for the hardest setting. Worked well until now.

How come you think the ARB isn't worth it on a Cup? Genuine question by the way not picking on what you've said.

I have two holes in the bar, I thought the current hole was the softest setting lol. Cheers Tony I'll give that a try tomorrow.

Hardest setting on the rear to drive daily? bloody hell you must have some nice smooth roads..

I run mine maximum soft all round for daily hacking..

Konis that is btw..

Well I do have to plan routes avoiding speed bumps but I can live with it. Don't want to adjust it again cos it took me ages to get it to the way it is now lol.

The Cup already has stiff suspension, any stiffer and you'll be oversteering in to the ditch. The Konis and what looks like Eibach Sportlines on your car are enough. With normal road tyres and driving on roads, especially in the wet you'll loose traction, there has to be some compliance in the suspension to make it work. Driving on a dry track is a different ball game, ask Tony Hunter. My opinion is you've gone too far for a road car. If you insist on keeping the RARB then adjust it, if you can't then move the brackets on the rear beam closer to the middle, this will have the same effect.

Get that bloomin exhaust clamp thread cut off as well, you will have a grannys eye out with that.

Mine looks very similarly set up, maybe my ends are screwed up a bit higher, I'll check tomorrow. I've only noticed improvements, turn is so much sharper, no skipping front end, understeer is reduced massively, and the back is hard to explain. Feels like it starting to step out but follows the front along. Running on V-maxx though so no hard damping.

You definitely have the ARB on the softest setting as the longer the distance from the bush= more leverage. I would soften the rear dampers off.

lol I hate the series of about 7 speed bumps just down the road!! Hateful things!! :dapprove: haha!!

Those are impossible to avoid, you can cut through one road to avoid about 3 of them but that's it. Suspension killers those bumps :|

I thought I did going off the diagram I had but wasn't sure. Still not had chance to adjust anything yet due to the car being off the road.
