Whiteline Rear ARB fittings

Just got mine from the Demon Tweeks group buy. Was looking at all the metal fittings and wondering how these have coped with rust etc from people who have them fitted?

They look to only be plated and judging by the state of my exhaust clamps I replaced recently I'm wondering if it'd be worth getting them powder coated or treated?

How have these faired on peoples cars?

They're not hard to get off so you may as well only getting them coated once they start to corrode.

I don't think they are very corrosion resistant.

A bit of hammerite smooth on them maybe before fitting? I was going to do this

I dont know how well hammerite adheres to some coatings though. Think it says it must be applied to bare metal or rust.

Last summer I painted my bonnet catch with Hammerite smooth (Blue) - I know it doesn't get as much sh*t thrown at it as the underside or the car but it has kept well

Failing the pinting, you could always Waxoyl the fittings after they're on - underside protection!

Good point Cupman29 Have got some 'special' black etching paint that I might put on them, we'll see.
