Does anything on your car work? ;)

I have mine turned on as I sometimes drive through some dodgy areas.

Yeah Ive put mine on, after havin it on my previous car, just didnt feel as safe without it. Too many nutters about

sensible option that seeing as thieves are just nicking the keys these days and/or carjacking people.

can you set this on the 182?

Yup I have it on my 182, does tend to worry people who havent been in the car though, especially as when it happens I give them a physco smile :)

Yes, with the ignition on, press and hold the door lock button for about 5 secs. You will hear a beep and after that it will auto lock above about 5 or 10mph

Oh thats great! Had it on the 172 and I miss it, will do that later. It makes you feel much safer.

Turned it on in the g/fs clio as soon as I found out you could.

Much safer.....

The Clifford on my valver does basically the same thing and I like it in that.

I can think of loads of reason why you should have it activated.

I cant think of a single reason why you shouldnt have it activated.
if you are in an accident, it will prevent people from getting you out of the car if you cant yourself. Thats one reason.

actually thats not true !!

in a serious crash the doors automatically unlock. and the key pulls straight out even in on posistion.

Mine actives as soon as the ingnition comes on rather than after 5 mph as it did in the Cup. Guess this means mine is done through the alarm or something instead eh!

also like to add i think if your engine off and you havent got the key in the engine but you press the door lock button after 25mins the doors are unlocked i belive but i could be wrong ?

Never used mine. Does it stay locked when you come to a stop again i.e junction, traffic lights, cashpoint?

Ive had mine on as soon as i brought it. Had read about it before, so used it straight away.

"Never used mine. Does it stay locked when you come to a stop again i.e junction, traffic lights, cashpoint?"

No, it only de-activates if you open the door from the inside, or press the door lock button on the dash board.

Ahh good, I had visions of it unlocking everytime you dropped below 5mph, journeys would become a bit speed-esque then "GOT TO STAY ABOVE 5MPH OR THE DOORS WILL er unlock :)

my door lock button doesnt work! never mind the auto lock. However when i press the key forb the light comes on, (on the door lock button)....wierd

I played about with it a bit the day I bought it, the other half always locks the car as soon as we are going, dont even live anywhere remotely rough :)

I have mine on all the time on my 182 and on my Megane Scenic.

Its a fair old thud on the 182 and more of a gentle click on the Megane for some reason
